SJG Engineering is a firm that specializes in designing and certifying agricultural projects in New York State. SJG Engineering maintains a client list of over 350 agricultural producers, the majority being dairy farms but also including beef, chicken, pork, vegetable, and fruit farms.
Stephen (Steve) George, PE is the principle engineer and owner of SJG Engineering. Steve grew up on a dairy farm in the town of Freedom in Cattaragus County, New York. A 1993 graduate of Pioneer High School, Steve attended Penn State University gradutaing with a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. After graduating, Steve returned home to the family farm for ten years before entering the engineering field with TeamAg, Inc. Steve decided to branch off on his own in 2017 while still maintaining a working relationship with TeamAg, which still remains intact today. In 2020, the company transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a PLLC.
SJG Engineering additionally employs one full-time engineer and a part-time farmstead technician. SJG is always looking for qualified individuals to join our team.
